has anyone found clonazepam to help them with mood?

I'm 28 years old and play music for a living.I saw this website and was curious who might be on here to learn, chat and interact with other people. |

I take it for anxiety and find it helps a lot with that. Doesn't do much for my mood though.

I have bipolar 1 & take meds for that & then clonazepam for anxiety so in combo with other stuff it helps with mood. If anxiety is too high mood suffers.--Suzy P.S. Rarely take it during the day as it makes me very tired. Try to ride out the anxiety during the day but do take it every night to try to help me sleep (still only sleep 3-4 hours usually).

I take a pretty high dose daily, helps with the anxiety greatly which definitely affects my moods. Its not generally know as a mood stabilizer though

Although it is a tranquilizer, it is known to have a mood stabilizing effect to it. However, it is never used as a stabilizer for somone who has swings-- it is normally a good tranquilizer to take in conjunction with another med if you do have anxiety plus bipolar disorder or any other disorder involving mood swings.

I am on clonazepam for anxiety. I don't know whether it helps my mood or not because I'm also on abilify(antipsychotic) and paxil(antidepressant).

Clonazepam is not prescribed for mood, only anxiety. The reason some patients feel improvement in mood while taking it, is due to the fact that their anxiety has been relieved.
