it is very possible to stop smoking marijuana.....although because the drug stays in your system for awhile..you will have some negative affects when stopping......i found that drinking alot of water helped and also trying to replace the addiction with something good like meditation....good luck.....you can do it!

A pdoc who specializes in addictions can help you, or you can even inquire if any local medical centers where you live have cessation programs, don't give up, you are doing the right thing by quitting. I got an idea, you can come here and talk to us when you feel like this, even check if anyone is on "chat", usually at nite you can catch someone to talk to marijuana addiction
Your lungs will become healthier once you quit too, just like cigarettes, both are bad for your lungs and the other chemicals in both smokes affect your whole body in a negative way, so I am cheering you on marijuana addiction

Good luck and take care,

the water idea is a wonderful suggestion..

haveing a habit like that is something that will stay in yoru system for a very long time after you stop using it.. so taking with your pdoc about the withdrawls is a good idea, and asking what to do would be the best course of action.. or talking to a support group at a church or youth group (no idea on your age) would be a good idea also..

going from one addict to another from one drug to a second one is not always a good idea.. so talk to your pdoc frist to see what she or he says about the withdrawls and look into chat and see if anyone else has any other help ok..
