Hi teemuze. I have taken seroquel for many years but I had to greatly decrease the dose because of side effects. I now take a lower dose of seroquel and 80 mgs of Latuda. I started on a low dose of Latuda and am now on 80 mgs. The first few months I had nausea and an occasional headache but that went away and now I have no side effects. The seroquel made me tired, affected my thinking (mind fog), was sedating so I slept a lot and I had to keep an eye on my weight. The Latuda has none of those side-effects. I've been on a ton of psych meds and I think Latuda has been the best for me.

Seroquel helped but had me sleeping all the time( I slept really, really well). With Latuda, i didn't seem to have any side effects, but it didn't do anything for my mood either and we are tapering it off.

I went from Seroquel to Latuda back to Seroquel. And I will NEVER go back to Latuda. It made me nauseous and I puked it up at least once a week. It also didn't really control my manic symptoms that well. Seroquel is my favorite by a landslide. I have virtually no side effects from it and it works really well for me.
