I've never been on it..

But the most common side effects for this is (and remember not everyone gets side effects)

Headache, upper respiratory tract infection, stomach ache, vomiting, loss of apeitite, sleeplessness, increased cough, sore throat, sinusitis, and dizziness.

The rare side effects are... ticks, "zombie" demeanor, moodiness...

There is more information, if you want to read up on it here is the website.

I take Concerta now at 36mg/day.

I don't take it every day, especially not on days I don't have to work. I think it's important to have mental days off.

As for side effects, I haven't really had any. There is some appetite loss, but you learn to get around that - smaller meals per day rather than trying to eat "normally".

The difference that it makes for me, however, is phenomenal. I wouldn't try to work without it. Actually, I wouldn't try to do anything without it.

Keep in mind that not all drugs work for all people.

Depends on what you have - I have bipolar I disorder, but we very carefully titrated the meds along with my regular meds - Paxil and Zyprexa. So far, no ill effects, no mania, no "crash" into depression after the concerta wears off and I can sleep just fine. As far as I'm concerned, it's a godsend. Sort of like mania but without the psychosis or the irritability or the dumb shopping.

Hope this helps! concerta

It's hard to say what that drug will do, it's different for everyone, your doctor may want to try it , and see how it works, it's different for everyone though.
