I understand it is a side effect that people have experienced is a "pins and needles" feeling in their hands and feet, but do people taking Topamax ever get a "numb" lips feeling? I am presently at 100mg and just started to feel those sensations in my hands and feet and now my lips feel like when you have had dental work with novacaine and your tongue and lips feel "spastic", is this another "wonderful" side effect of this drug? Honestly I am SO tired of side effects that I am starting to reconsider going back to the original cause, ha!ha!, sometimes the treatment turns out to be worst than the actual problem!! Sorry, just venting, but appreciate any others experiences

Sorry I can't help you. I've never taken this drug, and I don't remember anything in particular from working at the pharmacy. I know what you mean though about the treatment being worse than the problem.

DE - Yeah, I've seen the pins and needles thing, especially when someone is new to the drug. I wouldn't say that this side effect is all that common, but it does happen. Aren't you so lucky! - Cam

I had the tingling sensation when I was on topamax. In my hands, feet and the sides of my face. It goes away in about a month then if they up your dosage it comes back for about a week or so. It was not intolerable for me.
