I just looked that up to see what it was. Sounds like RET (Rapid Eye Technology.) I've studied RET a little and even have a wand to practice with. If EMDR is really like RET then I wouldn't see why you wouldn't have sensations, but exactly what I couldn't say. I've gone to an energy healing conference and there I felt some tingling when we did some work and RET is part of that. Sorry, I'm no help.

I haven't heard of RET but it sounds like it might be similar. I've looked up EMDR and it says that sensations are common, but I haven't found anything specific. Thanks WinterRose

You can do EMDR without the eye movements. (In fact, I would not be coordinated enough to do the whole protocol if I had to do the eye movements simultaneously.) You can use anything that stimulates the two sides of the brain alternately. In my sessions, we use two little electronic gizmos that pulsate. You can hold them in your hands, put them under your thighs, under your feet. I like them in my shoes. EMDR - sensations *DELETED* I find the pulses soothing, first on one side, then on the other. T lets me adjust the intensity using the control dial until I find the level that is just right for me. (I don't know about the sensations reference as that was deleted above.)

HI ,

I am going through EMDR right now, and have in the past 2 years ago. What sensations are you experienceing? Whatever the case, you should call your T about this, because he might want to see you to help. Good luck
