It says to let it dissolve completely. Do I swallow it when it dissolves or do I let it sit and "sink in" like you do with melatonin?

Let it sink in. I've never taken melatonin but I'm pretty sure we're on the same page about what "sinking in" means. (If not, just ask. )

At first it took what seemed like a long time for it to dissolve but now that I've been on it for a few months, I've "mastered" the sublingual aspect of it.

P.S. Does you jaw feel funny afterwards? Mine used to have a feeling I can't explain that stretched until the next morning. Now that doesn't happen anymore...

Nasty tasting stuff .. Black cherry flavor ... Ummmm No ! My Pdoc said in the mouth no swallowing for 10 mins. I had to stop it has it caused breathing problems.

I was happy to stop it.

Ohhh okay. Thank you both! that helps. I would have done it wrong otherwise.
But man is this stuff awful. It tastes nothing like fruit or mint unlike what the pdoc said. More like latex concentrate. My whole mouth is numb. At least the numbing helps me taste less. I can't tell if my jaw feels funny, I'll give you an update tomorrow. This stuff better be good.

Ok so I took the Saphris last night and wow. No jaw feelings but wow. I felt so dizzy afterwards I had to hold onto things to walk. I couldn't sleep because of akathesia so I took trazodone which helped knock me out. Then I proceeded to sleep for 15 hours. I got up and still feel really dizzy and nausious and really drowsy. My sister said, "no offence, but you look like death. At least you're ahead of the game for your Halloween costume!" And ofc I can't find my nurse's phone number.

I was warned about the wretched taste and numbness. But I've gotten used to the taste and the numbness seemingly went away. I take it literally before I go to sleep. It's been helping me so far... *fingers crossed*
Watch out for those side effects! It's always such a crap-shoot with these medications, isn't it?

Glad to her it's been helping you! My pdoc said it was a good one.
An true that about the side effects! This one was a real doozy! I think I'm going to hold off on taking it again until I can ask my pdoc about it on Monday.

I had symptoms like that at first but they went away. I have trouble with mouth sores though.
