I've been prescribed Citalopram, I still have some Trazodone (100mg) left over, would it be safe to take the trazodone occassionally as a sleep aid ? I would be taking the Citalopram early in the morning and the Trazodone at night. It may seem like a silly question, but I'm surprised at how some people seem to be able to mix and match ! I don't want to do anything silly ! I just want to sleep at night and feel awake during the day.

Hi once again mrstumnus,
Yes, this combo (actually 25 mg Traz & 20-40 mg Celexa wkd relatively well for me)..............but then, either one drug (or both, but I seem to think it was the Celexa first) stopped wking for me. Had to go off of both. Remember that all of our chemical makeups & how we react to meds are different............gd luck. Des |

I take Prozac, Adderall and Trazodone. My p-doc gave me Trazodone as a sleep aid only.
