My med cocktail is in my signature. Has anyone been on Seroquel and Ambien together? I'm scared to take them together. My PN is trying to stop a mania from forming as it's not getting better on what I am on.

Also it says to take Ambien on an empty stomach. I have to take Latuda with at least 300 calories. So now I am iffy on what to do.

Any one have any ideas or experiences? TIA

Sorry you are feeling anxiety about taking these meds. I have no experience with then but there are some previous posts that describe this combo

Ambien is more effective taken on an empty stomach. For me, Ambien is habit forming and I have to be very careful not to take it more than two consecutive nights.

(TW: mentions of suicide)
Possible trigger:
I didn't sleep on Ambien, so I quit taking it after a few days. But I wasn't taking Seroquel at the time. I don't think they'll interact because the drugs are so different. And if your pdoc says it's alright, it probably is.

1/2 seroquel nightly knocks me out and stops racing thoughts. i love it. ambien put me to sleep but never kept me asleep. when we traveled from phoenix to so. africa and traveled thru 9 time zones, psych nurse said to combine the 2 to insure deep sleep. used the combo both going and returning and slept great.
when i'm especially manic at nite, i'll take a whole seroquel and if i wake up around 11:30, i'll take a piece of ambien as well; however, the hangover is tough but i'm retired and can get up when i want or nap later in the day.

At the moment, I am taking 300 mg at night of Seroquel, and it doesn't do a thing. Tonight I am going to try to add both together and see what happens.
