I don't think that much will harm you. I'm a horrible person to ask about this, but from experience.. I took 80mg of Ambien once (max dose is 10mg) and I blacked out. That much wouldn't even be close to being permanently harmful, though. I don't know about Lunesta, but I imagine 9mg isn't going to hurt you. I also take OTC sleeping pills. One dose is 25mg, and I have taken up to 250mg at one time with no bad things happening. I also take Sonata, but I don't take more than I should of it because I love how it makes me feel and I don't want to waste the pills. I never really thought about how bad all of what I'm doing with these pills really is lol, but that's besides the point. 9mg won't do anything, I think, is the point.
Obviously these are unhealthy things to do, and you should not frequently overdose on it. If you feel you need more than what your doctor is telling you to take, speak with him/her maybe they will make an adjustment or try you on a new medicine that will help you more. Here's more info on Lunesta. I have never taken it myself http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eszopiclone |

Hi,
Pls. check with your doc on that one. Overdosage depends on lots of different things, like gender, body size, empty stomach, in certain combinations with other meds, etc. VERY RISKY to guess! I feel for your sleep troubles. I suffered with that for many years. Actually had to take chloral hydrate at one point. Take care and I hope you can catch some Zzzzzz... Take care, Okie
