It boggles my mind but I've been taking this drug for well over a year. I have all sorts of doses. I'm on 30mg (3x per day) right now and it is working for the ADD symptoms real well.

However, how is it that a "stimulant" actually makes me sleepy? My family doctor said "well, you are diagnosed right and that if it acted as speed then ADD wouldn't be my problem.

I am interested in what other people taking this drug experience?

I take Dexedrine and I noticed the same thing—I could take it and go right to bed. I think it slows my brain down enough that I get relaxed…

I got the same way on adderrall after about a month or so. I'm now on provigil and its wierd. Sometimes I cant sleep some nights, but when I take another dosage, I then sleep easier and feel more rested.

It is odd how meds can affect each of us so differently.

Hallie, I don't think you have a problem at all. I just wonder why my doctor said 'I'm diagnosed right' because I'm sleepy. So many others do not get sleepy on this drug how can he say that?
