That drug is one bad egg cymbalta side effects? well, for half the people is it... it does help some ppl though (I've never met one.)

You can use the advanced search (find it up in the right corner) and see what all has been said here before about it.

It was horrible for me... a very horrible experience. cymbalta side effects?

Insomnia, increased panic attacks, agitation... this one wasn't for me.

Effexor has caused me excessive sweating so I tried Cymbalta for a few weeks. Cymbalta increased my blood pressure, so my doctor and I decided the excessive sweating would be the lesser of the two evils. So I'm back on the Effexor and it is working great aside from the annoying side effect.

Oh wow, I get the excessive sweating with Effexor, too! I've never heard anyone else mention that. It's the only side effect I experience from Effexor, and after some horrendous experiences with other antidepressents, I figured I could handle it. Definitely an annoyance though... if I want to walk somewhere, I have to dress in layers, cuz I'm cold at first, but as soon as I start walking, I'm sweating buckets & shedding clothing like there's no tomorrow!

i take cymbalta. i had been on 60 mg. of it from april to july, and i ended up with side effects like, headaches, nausea, pure exhaustion, excessive sleepiness, mental fog and confusion. the most problematic for me were the mental fog and confusion. my dosage was reduced to 40 mg., and the mental fog and confusion lifted, so it's much better. plus, i don't have headaches or nausea anymore. when i was taking 60 mg. of cymbalta, i had so much fog in my head that i did a few boneheaded things because i couldn't think straight. the funniest one was pouring melted wax down the kitchen sink drain and clogged up the sink. fortunately, my husband was able to fix that. i knew better than that, but i was so foggyheaded at the time. lol

It seems a considerable no. of posters are reporting nausea. At what point did the nausea end? After how many days or weeks? I don't think I can handle one day of nausea.

I was on cymbalta for a year than they switched it to wellbutrin because it was better for bipolar, had an allergic reaction to wellbutrin then went thru cymbalta witdradral, that was hell! worse then going thru herion withdrawal. after 2 weeks in couldn't take it anymore my doc put me on a weeks of worth of prozac, it stays in your system longer. i feel much better now. don't just stop taking ur cymbalta ur bound for some hellish experiences you do not/ can not handle. good luck!

I had a bad experience after taking just one Cymbalta. I was so weak that I could barely walk around, very nauseous, shaky... I stopped it after that one day.

My sister, on the other hand, has been on Cymbalta for quite some time now with no problems. Very mild side effects in the beginning.

The withdrawal effects are really unacceptable and the drug company needs to have their butt kicked for not addressing the titration problems....I am down to 12 of the little pieces a day and when I go lower I cry and feel awful. I hate it. belle

If you're down to a small fraction of the normal dose, there's no reason you couldn't begin titrating up on a different antidepressant. Often, that helps alleviate the withdrawal symptoms.

Funny, I don't have any problem with it. Except if I miss a dose - then I feel like someone plugged me into a light socket.
A lot better than Effexor! that had me flat on my back with nausea. Two whole days feeling like would throw up at any second. No thank you! Cymbalta's a lot better for me.

I heard that since it works on both serotonin and norepinephrin, that you get the benefits of both AND the side effects of both. Maybe that's why some people can't take it?
