I have had no caffeine now for 4 days...still a mild headache, but nothing like the days 2 and 3. This morning, I spent 4 hours in the waiting room while they fixed my car at the dealership (no headlights!). The only beverage was reg. coffee and a pop machine. I got diet Sprite without caffeine. In the past, I would have had sev cups of coffee!
Tomorrow is my first day back at the teaching job with a workshop...no doubt, coffee will be available, but, now having weaned myself "cold turkey," I plan to avoid it. My energy level is good and I will not need caffeine to keep me going! I've been surveying my history with coffee/caffeine as I've done this, and I realize a lot of my anxiety symptoms since college age on, when I first started drinking coffee ( and not even liking it much at the time) extend from that time. I even wonder if my major life decisions would have been different had I not been addicted to caffeine!??? Good luck to all of you who are trying to wean yourself from caffeine. Patty |

Yay, seeker! You are doing great. My experience with withdrawal symptoms have been much the same. The first 3 days are hard but then you feel better rapidly after. Congrats!
