I'm not sure if anyone here is bulimic. Does it defeat the purpose of taking meds if you know your going to purge or do the meds get absorbed into your system regardless?

If you are purging your meds before they absorbe then the meds likely will not work.

Usualyl meds stay in your system I think it's up to 12 hours, so if you are purging during that time then you should talk to your doctor. I think all medications are different in terms of being absorbed, it's something to ask your doctor about.

Again, all meds are different but if this is something that is happening on a daily basis then the meds might not absorb.

I wish I had a better answer for you.
