Hey All.
Ok, i was on Lexapro for a few years then had Lamictal added to it. it worked great together. so good i thought i was "cured" and had my DR. ween me off all meds. that was 9 months ago.
since then i have dropped 30 lbs and didnt realize that it was the meds that made me gain. things are going really bad and i shouldnt have stopped taking them. i tried riding it out and that was a BAD mistake. so im easing back into the lexapro under Dr. care.
thing is, i am having these BAD sugar cravings. A&W is the main thing that helps with them. the sweetness helps.
anyone else have cravings on these meds?
btw im on 10mg? per day and its isnt working yet. been 6 days and im still having a BAD time.....

I take both Lexapro and Lamictal so I hope I can help. First of all, 10mg is a baby dose, but its a start. If you remember from the first time around it takes a while before you start noticing changes. As far as the cravings, I don't know. Do you think its possible that you experienced weight loss b/c of the depression you sunk back into? Its often a side effect of depression. Two years ago I decided to CUT DOWN on my Lexapro, not even discontinue it, and I ended up in the hospital. I sympathize with you at this time. I understand how difficult and, at times, unbearable the pain is. If you can just hang in there for a couple more weeks you'll start to feel better. Good luck and I'm here if you need anything. Lexapro and Cravings?
