I have been taking it for years off and on to combat anxiety, stress, depression and lack of motivation. This time it has made my anxiety worse.

Anyone ever see changes in reactions to medications like this? maybe I'm just getting older and my body has changed?

I've taken Zoloft for years...like maybe 10 or so. Worked very well, then several months ago I realized I was feeling like a zombie and just had no desire for anything.

I told my pdoc I thought Zoloft had lost its efficacy on me and he prescribed Cymbalta. (Now I'm having issues with that but it's on another thread.)

So, my opinion is that a med can definitely either stop working or somehow change over time...unfortunately. *sighs*

It is very common to take an SSRI for a number of years and then have the effect change on you. Many people who are on meds such as Prozac or Zoloft for a long time find that they have to change after a number of years. Plus your body chemistry is always changing, so why wouldn't your med?
