I`m new here but need help. I suffer from anxiety & am a hypochondriac. I always think I`m dying. I feel that way now but do not want to go on the med sites because I promised myself I never would again cause this usually leads me to the ER with severe anxiety attacks.I`m scared & just fed up. I`ve spent so much of my life worrying on my health & just wish it could stop! Please help!

For the past 10 days my tongue has been hurting like a burn. No i haven`t burned myself but it just won`t go away & the pain seems to shift. God I feel so stupid but I`ve been fighting the demons all week & I guess tonight I could not fight anymore.....

(((hugs))) I'm sorry your anxiety is so high right now... are you getting the sleep you said you need? Are you eating right? How long has it been since your medication has been adjusted?

Can you use something to focus upon and calm yourself? Breathing... calm thoughts... remembering that this is part of your disorder, and nothing is really drastically wrong...

Do you have things to distract you, like you child? Can you engage in some play with her or effort for her, to help you? TC

I`ve been distracting myself all week. I guess tonight is just not working......it`s a fight I hate . I`m always busy & can distract myself but when I have pain I just can`t let it go. It always takes over at the end & I just get so tired of fighting. I appreciate you guys talking to me. I need help!

That can be many things from anxiety to a virus to just so much. Its not what you fear thats not what it is. I know you are afraid . Can you take ativan or something? Do you see a dentist 2 times a year?

What kind of pain? Is that connected to your dental appt? Have you increased your caffeine intake or such? There are some foods that increase anxious feelings... maybe even molds or such...

Well, keep distracting yourself... when do you see your T? Can you call him/her???

No it has nothing to do with the dentist but I keep praying it`s nothing. It`s just so crippling to feel this way & I`m very good at coping but sometimes it just gets too much for me to handle, the worry takes over all logic & I suffer & then feel guilty cause the others around me suffer & well it`s just a vicious circ`le. Thanks SKY for everything

NP... have you learned meditation? It really helps when overwhelmed... you can alter reality... and once you are really good with it, you can distort time, so when you need more time, you can expand it and when things are terrible until a certain event, you can compress it... just by working on calming will continue to help you... If this is part of your disorder, then you could surely dispel with the guilt. Are you doing this on purpose? I doubt it...so why guilt? You're doing what you can, and trying to do better. sounds like a plan, to me I`m freaking...need help now!

I am sorry you found scary things on the web. It may feed your fears but it will help you stop it if you see a dentist. They work with the mouth and know more. This CAN be many things.
