Hello,

I have been on 1,500 MGs of Depakote (500 MG pill 3 times daily), for Bi-Polar.. and depression. And.. I am so.. tired of it.. like.. literally.. it makes me just down in the dumps, and kind of like, in a WAY, depressed, but not. You know? You just kind of go through the week.. day.. by day, and you don't wanna kill yourself, or.. really have urges to cut yourself. But, lately I've been really hostile. Like, I've been ready to start an argument at school. I'm just.. on the front at school, like a feeling of rage, but not complete rage, just.. ready to argue feeling. And.. it just makes every day drag on.. and on, and I'm beginning to slip into a depression over that very thing... But, I have honestly been doing really good depression wise, and stuff like that. But.. it seems like Depakote just.. sucks the life out of me...

Your not alone I HATE DEPAKOTE !!!! Made me feel nothing >>>like I was nothing >>>>I started burning & cutting my arms just to feel pain Got marks all up and down them now .There are far better drugs out there then Depacrap and to top it off it ****s up you liver you need to get blood work done all the time . Talk to you doctor let him or her know how you feel . It takes awhile to find out what Meds. work for you. Ask other bipolar people what work for them and what didnt .I know this must of us hate Depacrap.

Depakote did OK for my mood, though it did kind of numb me out. Luckily I was unemployed when I started on it, because it made me want to sleep 20 hours a day. The side effects do suck. I would have to agree that most of us hate it!
