Here's a bit of data:

Xanax, Placebo
Weight gain: 2.7%, 2.7%
Weight loss: 2.3%, 3.0%

So in this study, people taking Xanax were no more likely to gain weight than people taking placebo.

Xanax was the one medication that I took that did not cause weight gain.

I wouldn't know, I don't excersize at all, and I have a bad diet so I couldn't blame anything on the drug because I wouldnt be able to separate the weight gain from being lazy or from the meds.
