I am currently taking Effexor 150 mg/day, neurontin 600 mg 3x/day, seroquel 25 mg at bedtime, and adderall 15 mg 2x/day. Adderall is the newest, I have been taking it for about 2 months. Over these months, I have noticed a big change in the frequency of my bowels. Almost like diarrea every day. Could this be from the adderall or has anyone ever experienced this? I am having a lot of marriage problems lately, and my nerves have been bad and I internalize my feelings a lot, and I'm thinking that is why - maybe IBS symptoms? Just wondering if anyone knows or has had this experience with adderall. i need to take it though - its helping my ADD symptoms so much, I would hate to stop it

My husband is on it but doesn't have that issue. Adderall did cause my husband to lose weight and rapid weight loss could be the issue. If that's the case it should go away soon. Also, it could just as easily be from the current stress. You should also pay attention to your diet and try and notice if anything in particular causes the problem.

pgolg, I had some really bad times in my marriage with extreme stress and I had diarrhea the whole time. As I got less stressed, my innards came back to normal, over a period of months. Could you not take the Adderall for a few days and see if your problem clears up? Then you would know if the adderall was or wasn't the cause. For what it's worth, I take Vyvanse, which is very similar to adderall (the drug is processed in the body to its active form, which is essentially adderall), and I have not digestive upset at all.
