<font color="blue"> Hi Rubylizard,

I've been on Remeron 45mg for three months now. I've tried almost all of the ADs, and I like Remeron the best. Actually, it is the only AD that I've been able to tolerate.

I have no GI upset with it, nor does it make me foggy. I take it when I go to bed at night.

I found that it took about 6 weeks before it kicked in, and it has worked quite well at keeping my suicidal mindset at bay.

Wish you luck on it!!!

Sandy

I was on it for about a day, because it made me veerrryyy sleepy during the day. The stupid thing about psych drugs is that their effectiveness varies from person to person.

Ruby,

Not everyone deals with withdrawal like I did with Remeron, alot of people get off it just fine. I don't know why I had a hard time on it I get senstive to medication.

This is after 8 months of being on it and it stopped working for me.

Up until that time Remeron worked great for me.
It did however make me gain some weight but once I got off of it I lost it again.

It made me sleep like a baby which I miss because now I don't sleep well.

Everyone experiences different effects for all meds. What happened to me with getting off Remeron wont necessarly happen to you.

Everyone reacts differently.

If you have a weak stomache with this I lived off gingerale, crackers, and I also should have taken gingerroot capsule which is just ginger in a gelcap.

Also took pepto bismol.

Try not to think too far ahead of yourself.... just deal with it if it happens.

Sorry to scare you...

i think i've decided not to take it. my main problem is my phobia of vomiting. .....hence my worry about stomach things. and my anxiety. i refuse to take SSRI's because of the GI symptoms i've had with some in the past. i dunno. i don't want to take any drugs anyway.
i learned that remeron is anticholinergic too.....which means i can't take it because that slows your stomach and stuff down and i take things to make mine go faster.
oh well. just makes it easier for me to not have to take it. remeron
