I'm on 30mg of Remeron, have been on it for a good few weeks now and find that it has worked wonders, I have also been on ativan, clonaspam <sp> Celexa and Zoloft.

I was on Zoloft for 7 yrs, that stopped working, went on Celexa, it did terrible things and now on Remeron.

My question is and I guess this would be more for the women.

Has being on it affected your period?

All can have an effect on that, but being on them at the late 30's to mid 40's can be a factor, you know that peri-menopause thing
But while on Celexa, I found them to be lighter, but again it could be my age.
Remeron I was only on for only a month, it zombified me, but that is me, all meds affect everyone different.
But I would check with the sheets that come with your prescription when you pick them up at the pharmacy, or check with your doc, just to assure yourself that any changes are attributed to the med and not any underlying problem, such as hormones, thyroid or age.
I wish you lots of luck with this, and take care, okay?

Hi Darkeyes

I am only 23 (almost 24) The remeron for me only made me zombie like for about 2 days, always took them 30mins roughly before I go to sleep.

I'm actually going to get a sheet on hormons and what not, Still haven't gotten it.... But i'm trying not to stress...

Can you ask the doc's office or even the doc who prescribed them? I wouldn't doubt the menstraul cycle couldn't be affected, many meds of this kind can have some minor to major affect on cycles. Missing periods only happened to mewhen I was anorexic, they stopped because I wasn't eating much, amny other nasty things happened then so I put the weight on, especially when I found I needed to get hormone shots to start my periods again, but I had to gain weight too, or it wouldnt work.
One a year my body would skipp a month but then get almost 2 a month, once for 21 days I just flowed.
I wasn't on any meds for depression or any mental disorders, so I couldn't attribute to that, even my doc didn't know what was happening, it just was way off but did adjust itself after awhile. If this is bothering you I would see the doc if I were you, relieve your mind of added stress.
Take care,
DE

Oh, I hear you, I am like that too, even now approaching menopause
I use to hate if I was going someplace that had nice swimming places, can't use those "you know whats", causes too much cramping, and can be unsafe, too.
I'm glad it worked out okay, now you can try to relax a bit Remeron

Sincerely,
DE

Darkeyes

Why do women have to go through so much , men don't get pregnant , don't have their periods ect.. the only things they have to worry about is gas... lol.
