Are they expensive?

I have no insurance. Are drugs like Adderall and Welbutrin expensive? I'm scared to even go to the dr to find out. I don't qualify for low income programs.

Our state's website has a listing of drug prices at various pharmacies. Might want to check that out for your state or call some pharmacies.

I take the generic form of Wellbutrin and it is pretty cheap. You have to ask for the generic regular Wellbutrin and not one of the extended or sustained release. The extended or sustained release is called XR or XL or SR. The only difference is that you have to take the regular wellbutrin twice a day instead of the once a day with the others.

I have good insurance and I have taken all the different forms of Wellbutrin for many, many years. I think the regular Wellbutrin works better and I like the control of deciding how much I am going to take each day. Yes, I should take all my meds every day but if I sleep in till noon on a Saturday then I only take one pill because it is so late to take two.

Wellbutrin SR is also available in generic and is inexpensive.

I think some forms of Adderall are available in generic.

There are also sometimes prescription discount cards that people without insurance can get for free, and these allow them to get prescriptions filled at a discount rate.
