My "therapist" wore a tuxedo. And bunny slippers. I think the bunny slippers were to help put me at ease. He was available 24 hours a day for about six weeks straight. I was his only client. In addition to therapy he also provided housekeeping and cooking services and once, helped me wash my hair because I couldn't lift my arms. He also did not ask for any form of monetary payment.

As for me, I wore pajamas throughout the entire period.

Anyway, that's what you get in the wardrobe department when your "therapist" comes to you via an altered state of consciousness. The formality of the tuxedo matched his demeanor and the bunny slippers seemed quite fitting and occasionally, revealing of his own inner conflicts.

He was the best therapist I ever could have had; better even than I had imagined anyone could be.

What a funny thread to read the day before an appt to see my pdoc! I can picture my pdoc's clothes, sort of. Longish skirst and cute tops. Shoes vary. My T wears pants suits mostly, I think, but I don't notice her clothes. Just her hair, which rarely changes. I think I pay more attention to their faces and hair and mostly ignore their clothes. I'm sure I'll notice tomorrow, though.

This thread is amusing to read. My T wears pretty casual clothes. I think. I recall her one day wearing a navy cotton jacket, and i'm pretty sure she was wearing navy track pants aswell. She is a travelling T though so she probably doesn't have a boss close by telling her to dress proffesionaly. Although, this memory could be somehow altered or not real so, yeah. She may dress like most ppls. My Pdoc whom I haven't seen for AGES (i live in the middle of nowhere) wears nice semi formal pants and a lab coat because she is a senior specialist or something. I only see her via tele-conferance.
