I miss you guys. I'm just feeling weird and not posting or reading much, but I feel bad about that too because I've gotten so much support here and I want to give some of that back.

It's almost like after my overdose and the huge emotional storm of the week afterwards, I'm kind of emotionally shut down right now. I don't know. I'm still seeing T once a week and we are doing skills training stuff so I'm not really having "therapy".

I've also been off of cymbalta (a SNRI) since Fri, just can't seem to get the pharmacy and prescriber's office to communicate w/each other to get a refill authorized. So I'm going through some nasty withdrawals and feeling pretty sick from that.

Anyway, I just wanted to pop my head in and say I'm still around and I'll be back posting more often soon I hope.

Hi zoo!
Good to see you around here (though no worries about not posting, I'm sure all of us feel unable to participate here at times). Sorry to hear things are so screwy with meds and things and you are feeling so shut down. How long do you have to do skills training with T? When are you going to be able to get back to "real therapy?" Oh and when are you going to see her twice a week, anyway?

Keep us posted.

((((Jexa)))) thank you

Yesterday my T told me we are doing skills training for 4 more weeks. UGH. We're not even meeting in her office but in the skills training room instead, so it really really doesn't feel like T.

I think when we start doing "real" therapy again and go back to trauma work then I will start seeing her twice a week. I didn't ask her about it yesterday when I saw her. I know she was going to check on the fundng for doing 2 sessions a week, but she also said it shouldn't be a problem, so I think it's still a go.

Maybe I'm just trying to keep myself emotionally numbed out a little bit because I don't feel like I have therapy to process stuff in right now? I don't know. It's all mixed up in my head now b/c of being off the cymbalta, it's really effecting my cognitive ability. I feel like I've been hit upside the head with a mallet. Doh!

Sometimes pharmacists will give you a few days of your prescription while the problems are being ironed out. You might ask.
Thanks for this!

((((((Zoo)))) It looks like there are a few of us on a PC break. I havent been around much lately and I feel badly, but at the same time, I know that it feels loving to do what I need to do on my own timetable. It is the same for you, Zoo dear. We have to do what we need to do and that is how we learn to treat ourselves with loving kindness. Its all okay and we arent going anywhere, we are here for you.

Twice/week sounds pretty good tho. And if your insurance is covering it that is perfect. That should not happen that you withdraw from a med b/c no one can call in a refill. I agree with FG, that maybe your pharmacy can help to give you a couple of days worth while you get ahold of someone who can do it.
Thanks for this!

Hi Zooropa,

I know you've had a tough time recently, and it's OK to sit back and try to catch your breath, even temporarily numb out if you need to. I often have to step back and "regroup" after an especially emotion-laden situation. Don't feel badly about not posting much. We're just glad to see you when you can pop in!
Thanks for this!

Good to see you here, zooropa. Just come when you can and you want.

I agree with what farmergirl wrote about the pharmacist. It never hurts to ask. Especially since withdrawal from Cymbalta is causing you these bad symptoms, the pharmacist might be willing to spot you a few days pills until you can get the bureaucratic stuff ironed out.

Hi zoo
You have been through an intense time and maybe now is the time for less intensity, a time for recouperating. Sometimes there is no energy for feeling.

Those withdrawal symptoms are not fun. I hope you can get your refill soon. Can you ask the pharmacy if they might give you a few pills to counteract the withdrawals?

It is good to see you
Thanks for this!

thanks you guys
I finally FINALLY got my cymbalta refilled this afternoon, just took it and I swear I'm feeling better already. I know this is not possible since I just swallowed the pills 5 mins ago, but still. It feels good just knowing it's on board and my headache will soon start going away.
