granite

you will get better. You have a loving heart, and you have teriffic strength (even though you may not always feel strong).

My T hast to remind me now and then that it took me a looonnnnng time to seek help. The road to recovery can be expected to be not as long, because you will have help. Give yourself a chance.
Thanks for this!

Granite..hang in there! I remember having many, many nights where I thought there was NO hope of me ever getting better, or every being "normal" sometimes even thinking I was a lot worse. . Then... somehow something happened and I was inching forward again. IDK...for me the hoplessness seems to sweep in quick and hard, knocks me down, but it does pass and I seem somehow get back up and then I find I've learned something important.

When I'm knocked down, I try to remember to check in with myself by saying (whether I believe it at the moment or not).. "Are you still breathing? Then there is still hope!"

(((Granite)))...hope it passes soon.
Thanks for this!

Great way to cope granite. Get outdoors to connect with nature, light exercise to keep your body busy, and make yourself available to another person...sounds like an excellent 3-pronged approach.
Thanks for this!

I love that on what might have been a really hard day, you are reaching out and connecting with nature and with another person. You deserve sunshine and trees and friendship and caring whether T is available today or not. Good for you

Thanks for this!

I think you're not giving yourself enough credit.....to have such a hard time, on such a hard day - to have the strength to get outdoors and be with someone, sharing yourself with someone else having a tough time....that takes strength. You did it.

granite, I've found that giving to another person in need is the best way to help yourself feel better too.
