I have to wait for Thursday and I am barely hanging on. The impulsive behaviors are rearing their ugly heads again.

Oh, Lauru, I'm sorry you're having such a hard time. Can you turn the tables on the impulsive behaviors and call their bluff? People who write jingles have to work to keep a jingle from taking over their thinking (song stuck in head :-) and they do that by either singing/playing the song through to its end or replacing it with another song (and thus kind of cancelling it out).

Can you think through the impulsive behavior "as if" you were going to do it, see where it would naturally go and then decide if you want to go there or not? Or can you "invent" some random, funny alternate behavior and make yourself promise to do it (or just think about it) every time you get the impulse to do what you don't want to? I would think of a mildly positive, funny, complicated behavior (putting on lipstick and kissing your image in the bathroom mirror) and make myself do that when I got the other behavior.

That;s a good idea Perna, I just don't have the energy for that anymore. I am just so tired and so sad and so empty

Lauru, would it help to just stay on here and express what you are feeling? Would you like to talk a bit about all this here?

Oceanwave,

I can't talk about what's going on on here because those type of posts are not allowed. But thank you for the invitation

Laura - can you maybe draw out how you feel and post that? Or do a poem about it?
Being a few days away from seeing T when you need T can be hard. Can you do something to take with you to session that would show T exactly what you feel like right now?
Thanks for this!

wait, what? I'm not sure what kinds of posts aren't allowed. I'm sorry you're hurting so much, Lauru. I know that empty feeling so well. Can you call your T?

If it would help to talk about it, please feel free to PM me, ok?

WePow,

I don't know if I can do that right now. I just am fixated on my impulsive behaviors. I am afraid that if I write out how I am feeling or draw it, I will go over the edge and never come back. I'm so afraid.

My heart goes out to you Lauru, I know this weight/wait can be a long and heavy one. What about sleeping through it? Or I know what I find helps if I'm really feeling sui I do A LOT of research online on the topic and either I find something helpful or do it for such a long stretch that I get completely exhausted and fall asleep... IDK when ever I get sui real bad I get really sleepy, maybe part of my body defense/ self-preservation mechanism?
