So, I have session again this morning......and my stomach is all knotted up with a sick, scared feeling. This doesn't generally happen much........but last session was difficult, I was unhappy with T.....
She wanted me to be more transparent in my journaling about some issues/feelings......and I certainly was! I looked it over last night and cringed the whole way through and feel like this> It's so much more raw.....and I guess I am simply terrified of being so real, so raw, and to be seen! Not scared of T, really, just scared of being seen and nowhere to hide....
And afraid I'm going to fall to pieces......oh wow.

Poetgirl...I know how this can feel, but as crazy and frustrating as it sounds...that is a good feeling, it means your guard is down and you know you need to be more real. I really hope your session goes well...let us know!
Thanks for this!

Vulnerability is so hard. It makes sense we don't want to go there!

I hope you can congratulate yourself for being more transparent in your journalling, and that your session goes reallly well.
Thanks for this!

It's probably too late and you've had your session or are there now, but I just got online now. I hope that in spite of your fears you were able to have a good session. I'm usually nervous and T does breathing with me to relax before we start.

I understand feeling so raw, vulnerable and not wanting to be seen. Ts are good at helping us accept those feelings and getting us to move forward in spite of the pain and vulnerabililty. It's what we're there for. It hurts to do it, but like bitter medicine, it's going to heal us.
Thanks for this!
