i hate this i so want to e-mail my T or call her or something.i hate how i am feeling and i dont even know why i have no reason.on monday ill go to T and say i'm fine because ill be scared to say anything but i'm not fine far from it and i dont know why this is what is scaring me the most.i dont know why

dear Granite, can you leave her a message that just says, I am not fine and I hate feeling this way, I don't understand.......It's OK to just say you're NOT fine, no reason to tell Ts the same polite (untrue) thing we might say to others who ask how we are. It's safe to be honest with Ts how we really feel, even if we can only say, I am not fine, I am scared.......
Or write it on a piece of paper for her. It's OK to tell T your real feelings, it really is. I bet she can see whether you're fine or not really.......when I say I am fine, and I am not, my T calls me on it because she knows me well enough to know I am not, and I tell her, no I am not really fine. ANd if I don't know why, I just say I don't know why..... big hugs to you! |

I'm sorry granite! I can never get the words out for how I'm truly feeling with T either. Usually she can just guess though. Maybe you can write something down for her to read?

I agree with everyone else. Nothing more to say than thinking of you and hope you are able to resolve this. It's hard when you are scared and don't know why, or when you feel anything but are confused about why. Stay with the feelings for a little bit and maybe you can figure out why. I'm sorry you are having such a bad time. I agree with the others. What is keeping you from telling your T you are feeling bad? What do you fear will happen if you do tell? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I got up the nerve to write my last T a little note that said "I'm not fine, even when I say I am, so instead of asking how I am, can we just assume I am in pain". It worked

i did make a new journal after i wrecked the last one and really trying to get up the nerve to use it.i have written in it but still havnt brought it in for her to read

i'm scared she will put me in the hosp or turn me away.make me feel worse than i already do.i'm just scared.i have never talked to a T ever .i always just acted out with behaviors.

granite, I can understand your fears, I think. The session before last, you were getting into feelings and telling your T what you never have before. You posted how scared and upset that made you feel. Then you backed off last week and didn't talk. It seems like you want to try again but the fear is overwhelming!!! That's totally reasonable.
Can you just tell your T first thing, that you don't feel good and you're scared? Or, just "I'm scared." That's all you need to say. I'm sure she knows you're not fine anyway. If we were fine, we wouldn't be in therapy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
