|
I am needing to find a long term residential hospital for psychatric disorders. One that has like a 30 day or longer program. Not an acute hospital that keeps you for 5 days and sends you on your way. I am needing a long term residential place anywhere in the US that doesnt want 45000 dollars upfront. I need one that is affordable, one that understands that rich people arent the only people who need help. I have been calling places all over for days now and I am giving up. I do not have a therapist at the moment that can do this for me. I know I need help and I just need anyone to give me the names of places to check out. Please!!

Not sure what issues you need to work on, firefly, but here on the east coast, some of the best residential/transitional hospital programs are located at McLean Hospital. I know they accept insurance in most of the programs but there is still a co pay and most people need to get preapproved. They are on the web so you can search them out. REality is though--it's the wealthy who are really able to have long term inpatient/residential treatment, not anyone else. Money speaks.

I don't know of anywhere, but I really hope someone can help you with this and that you can find somewhere to go and get the help you need

Hi Firefly, I hope you find what you need. Hopefully Perna's link turns up some resources for you.
If you haven't already, I also recommend contacting your local university, either the psychology dept, or their health center, and see if they have some leads for low cost resources. |

I found a place on the West Coast. Up in Washington and they take insurence. Finally after several days of searching. I appreciate the responses and I'll let you all know how well the program is when I get back in a few weeks. Wish me luck!!
