((((((Granite)))))) You are a unique gift to our world. There is only one you.
You can not fail at that! There will never be another YOU. And I know I am not the only one who thinks you are a very wonderful YOU. So you did fail just now... at convincing me that you are a failure :-) Because you are NOT!
Thanks for this!

Oh, granite. You're SO not a failure. You help me so much by building up my spirit. Anyone who does that for me is NOT a failure. Even if your session wasn't so productive (I assume that's what this is about) that doesn't relect on YOU being a failure.
Thanks for this!

Hi Granite

every session is completely different. Please be patient with yourself. You are still there, still caring to make it work, that is SUCCESS.
Thanks for this!

What SAWE said is so true: every session is different from the next. What's important is we keep showing up. You are doing it.
Thanks for this!

For me doing the mindfulness thing is VERY HARD! I just don't have the attention span it needs to be successful and I feel like I'm just not intune enough to really understand what it is I need to be mindful of. I often read others posts and feel so frustrated that I am not, after 2 years now in therapy, anywhere near where they seem to be. Some seem to have such a deep understanding of what has happened in their lives and have started to unravel it.... and I can hardly remember a thing, let alone begin to come up with an intellectual understanding of why I am what I am. Honestly, it's just recently that I started telling T anything- it's just so, so hard for me to do.

You're not a failure at all granite. You are, to me, a success because you tried and will contnue to try. I admire you and look up to you for your strength and courage to do what you know will be helpful for you.

Yay!

Anyway, failure is something you HAVE, not something you ARE. And it's usually only temporary.

One last point. If you had a failure, that means you TRIED.
Show me a person who never had a failure, and I'll show you a person who never attempted anything.

Maybe you didn't fail it at all. If you are really mindful when you don't feel good you end up really feeling those bad feelings and it does feel bad.
