Ok so not only did my pdoc give me an appointment on Thurs, when I called in a crisis on Wed., he was awesome in the appointment and came up with all kinds of great strategies for keeping me safe while I get through this crisis and out of the hospital, including saying I could call him every day if I wanted and he'd call me back before the end of the day.
Then today when i got home from rehab, there was a message waiting from him just saying he was checking on me to see how I was doing, and if I was safe for tonight. He asked me to call him back and leave him a voice mail since he was leaving for the day but he would pick up his messages. How awesome is that? splitimage

You are so lucky to have such an awesome pdoc. My T is like that, but my pdoc wavers from warm and caring to cold and condescending. I'd like to get someone else, but I'm in a practice, and the only other pdoc once told me that I was ridiculous for feeling suicidal - not much choice, huh?
