July 14 will be my t's last day. He and his wife will be moving...career move.
In all these years, he's become a friend, confidant, t...so much. Tonight I hurt...so much. KD

 Awww KimmyDawn you know maybe more than anyone on here that *I* KNOW THAT Feeling you are feeling...I am so sorry but am glad you have months to work through it while he is around to help you..I just had to stop cause of cash and well....it hurts and sucks and I think it has jaded me...the suddeness..you will avoid that and rise above it

yeah, i kinda does. see, i've never really lost family members that i'm close to. that's sad. so i guess this is a first for me.
please don't get me wrong. i lost my father in May. it was so hard. However, well...long story. it's hard to end something that's been so good. that's what's new for me. love, kd

AWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW this feels so sad!
I'm glad, in one sense, that it hasn't happened to you before now... that you are as far along in your healing as you are.... I can't even imagine having that happen to me.... and would have to even consider moving too! I hope these next 5 months go very slowly for you!

I do know Kimmy and it sucks....but yes I have lost CLOSE family AND the loss of T is just equal to it ...I will tell you its the worse feeling in the world ...so I am just so sad for you

I've been there KD. I am on my 7th Therapist the 5th in this clinic alone. It doesn't get any easier and I don't know what I would do if Steve decided to move or something. PM me if you need anything!

I hate it two when I find someone that I trust and who knows how to help me and then 2 years latter (thats about how long my therapists last before they quit, get fired, go on vacation and decide not to come back, or total burnout. Hang in there. Positive side - you know the ending date so now you know that you have 4 months for you and your therapist to "check out and interview" perspctive new therapists and decide which one is right for you. |

That's hard, Kimmydawn. I've had to stop sessions with my counsellor on several occasions (bearing in mind that I only get 8 sessions per block) and each time is really really hard. Can you work out some way of keeping in contact afterwards - even if it is just for a sort of "progress report"? That might help ease the break a little.

Thank you so much everyone...so much.
This is, and is going to continue to be, a really tough one. How does one say goodbye to something so right, which is unfinished and hasn't run its course...no anger, no upset, no "i'm done"...just goodbye? I'm so glad for everyone here. I'm going to so need y'all. I can see that already. Thank you for caring. Know that I do too. KD
