Feeling hopeful about spending a bit less time on the couch today, not that I don't love spending time with everyone

Wishing I were spending time on the couch today. It's cold and rainy here. A good day for couch sitting - but I need to go into my office. Save me a spot for later. I'm getting Chinese take-out on my way home....General Tso's Chicken anyone?

Well, I'm here now...so I guess the poke won't be necessary. It was worth coming in just to get my mileage/cell stipend check...over $400. Can anyone say, "retail therapy"?

My H is a dedicated player for both Mega Millions and Powerball. We had a long talk with friends last night about how we would spend all the money!!! It was fun!

My mother only went to 3rd grade, in Italy, before she was pulled out of school to work on the farm. She writes the most endearing letters, I love her misspellings, they are simply brilliant, I can see how she came up with them. But she thinks i'm laughing at her. It's sad, that she can't appreciate that I DO appreciate her. She wants me to like her for other reasons, if she wants me to like her at all; I wonder.
Aha! She can't cook pasta because they teach that in the 4th grade.

So your mum is saying, "It's not enough to love me, you have to love me for the right reason"? I wonder of there is any of that in you?

By the way, this is the most positive thing you've said about your mum that I can remember.

I think stopdog was telling us that people were telling her that she should be a T. Then I asked her all those questions, and I reminded me of you for some reason, but in a good way, which I tried to show by the heart.
Maybe because I wasn't going blah blah blah blah blah blah blah, I kept it short like you do, I didn't sound like myself?

I know, and it's still carp. BTW, she complained about everybody else in the house (ie my dad) cooking or selecting the pasta - she is a perfect cook, worked as a cook, but honestly there was never anything wrong with the pasta - we're italian, 5 yr olds can cook pasta!

Plus four pairs of sandals, seven tops, and a buggy load of food from Costco!

5 hours=$500.

I asked H why buying stuff makes me so happy. He said because I'm materialistic. He's right.

He's got no room to talk...between going in with coworkers, a neighbor, friends, and our own...we have about 60 chances to win the Mega Millions tonight!
