Oh God...just called H; our friend said the problem with the AC isn't electrical. So that means trying to find somebody to fix it on Friday afternoon on the hottest day of the year so far. And money we ain't got. Dammit.

Or it's gonna be one hot weekend at my house. H said it was 85 according to the thermostat.

Update: H found someone that will come today!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!

Today is another eat everything in sight day. Guess that is how I'm handling my stress this time. Normally it's the other way and I don't eat.

But tonight for dinner will be Pizza and Wings. I didn't eat pizza yesterday.

Right there with you. I have all the makings for salad in my fridge at home, but it's been such a horrible day at work that I told myself I could get Chinese takeout (my go to comfort food) on the way home - the only requirement is that I get through work today. I've eaten through all the stashes of stress food I had in my office...

You do look different. You're taller, more powerful and more confident. You go, girl!

now today it's hot and steamy here and I sat out on the deck with a book and baked myself. they say too much sunshine burns and isn't good for you, but I'm past the burn point (I already have a dark July tan) and somehow have shoved the skin cancers worries to the side because the hot sun beating on my skin makes me feel very vibrantly and powerfully alive.
the kids are up from naps and home from school and probably want to go out and play so I'll head back out there (maybe take a cold beer out with me .... maybe not, but the urge is there!)

okay. so I finally listened to my aunt's voicemails just before T and figured out why my phone went bonkers this morning and lost power. auntie left messages last night and today saying my mother had a heart attack, was in the hospital, and they needed my brother's phone number, "that's all". So I called her back, she said they didn't have any test results back yet, last time she called the hosp, the nurse said my mother was sleeping, and oh BTW was I coming to the shower? IDK can you still hold it at mom's place IF SHE'S DEAD? In case you were wondering where I got my genes from. No wonder T told me not to think about that one too hard. I think the old lady just had a panic attack. Like mother, like daughter. Good session with T. I told him you guys helped a lot too this morning, he was very glad to hear that, that I called on him and y'all.

This is going to be really difficult for you.
I hated my mother when she died, but that didn't make things any easier.

Good luck!

IDK why they didn't make it both tbs or oz! anyway like jasmine etc from health food stores or amazon. but it sounds like you are set for a while! a while ago I got baggies and labeled them and put the tea bags that aren't individually wrapped, in them with twist ties so they would stay fresh, just in case I ever had a tea party. cos that one brand celestial seasonings isn't individually wrapped. I like japanese twig tea sometimes. it's like you should have it with kids' mud pies! it's very FRESH tasting, very BARK-y.
Thanks for this!

Thanks. but i'll lay odds she ain't goin anywhere. and I don't hate her. she made her choices, and I was fooled by them, and lived with them for too long. i'm just trying to recover from them, but it's tough picking up the pieces when you don't know what they're supposed to look like.
Thanks for this!
