Yes, honest. The coldest I ever remember it being is around 9 degrees celcius. At night when I'm in bed. Sometimes 1 of the mountaintops gets snow, but I only catch a faraway glimpse. My sister once drove 4hrs coz there was actual snow ON THE GROUND, so she took my nieces, but I had to work and missed out.

I love having kindred spirits. There are some who might suggest though, that it is a sign of your continued need for therapy or a cry for help.

I cannot imagine people over here would flock to a tea with First Flush in the name.

Those guys torture tea in ways I never thought possible.
I like plain black and green tea, but I like to switch it up every so often too. I might have to find this just to see what it tastes like. I like some of the herbal teas too, but I think green tea with honey is the absolute best.

Granite I feel your pain, I'm trying to start eating healthy again after putting on a bunch of weight after my knee surgery. Apparently self medicating with chocolate and pizza was not such a good idea. Maybe try think of it as eating heathly versus dieting to help.

Granite, I hope you enjoyed your meal, and I think renaming 'diet' is a good idea, the word in itself doesn't sound very friendly. Wow, all this talk of tea made me realize I hadn't had any in weeks, so this morning, I made me a nice cup of Rooibos I suck at time zones but I don't expect any company coz it's 7am here... Guess I'll just lounge around until company arrives

Granite-thank you. This is really hard. Im devistated. I hope your session goes well today and your healthy eating continues. I eat like 70% healthy and 30% not healthy which does not aide me in weight loss. But figure hey-at least I'm getting my veggies in. Today I had Kashi GoLean Crisp cereal for breakfast with a bananna. Green beans with almonds for lunch but I'm now craving a BLT and plan to devour one of those when I get home from work.

Granite - Veggie bake sounds really good to me. I love vegetables. I have half-heartedly been trying to eat better. I could stand to lose 40lbs that I've managed to gain since a bad break-up. So far I've managed to replace a few foods with better alternatives: potato chips with homemade kale chips and sugar breakfast cereal with refrigerator oatmeal. Still working on my chocolate and donut addictions...

Hope your healthy eating went well today.

Finally home after a long day. Abusive ex-boss came by work (IDK why) and chatted a bit with me and current boss. Filled out paperwork and tried to set up new email system. Lasagna for dinner. Hopefully, I can persuade H to rub my aching neck.

I use the "curly" type kale. Wash and dry the kale. Remove the stems and big center rib. Cut kale into pieces that are about 2-3 inches square. Place them on a baking sheet. Spray one side with cooking oil. Flip the leaves. Spray the other side. Bake at 300 for 10-15 min or until they are crispy. Keep an eye on them - they burn fast. You can keep them in an air tight container for a day but I usually just make what I am going to eat. (I used to just make the entire big leaf without cutting it, but sometimes the center doesn't get done.)

I love kale chips. They stink up the house, but man, are they good.

Does kale taste like lettuce or cabbage? Or something from that family?

Kale is in the cabbage family, but doesn't really taste like it, especially when it's roasted into chips. It's hard to describe, really.

I find kale fairly mild when compared to turnip or mustard greens.
