So, I went to see the new pdoc.
We talked a little. And she already had spoke w/ my T. She said along w/ my Borderline she feels like it would be best to treat me for Bipolar II. Thinks the Lacmictal she prescribed will help with my mood swings. Still leaving me on Effexor and Seroquel. (Upped the seroquel) I am just trying to hold myself together. Said to myself "Dx doesn't really matter, getting me on meds that will make me feel good does." But, I also am just trying to tell myself it will all be okay when I have such huge doubts.

I am sorry you feel so confused and doubtful...many times a dx is wrong but the meds may help ...Can you see another PDOC as a second opinion..? have you had testing at all..what made her think BP and BPD ..I guess that's what I would want to know,.....safe hugs to you

How frustrating to have more added! However, it really won't matter what their labels are, if the medicine helps, right? Gotta think positively. You aren't the labels, you are who you have been before the latest label, right? If the pdoc needs more labels, well she has plenty in the DSM-V
