I've been thinking; what are some reasons why we pick the user names to use on here to remain annoymous? If you think about it-between the world of Facebook, MySpace, linkedIn, etc. and practically being able to trace people by IP addresses these days. When online-are you really actually annoymous? I won't tell you my last name-but I'll tell you my first name is Dana. Those of you that hang out on the couch can call me Dana or TTGB. Whatever you would like.

Hi Dana, I'm Eileen. Nice to meet you.

I google my name and email all the time to make sure pc doesn't come up...and it doesn't, at least not yet.

Hugs to you Granite, I am glad you are back and made it thru everything. My T used to tell me that a bad month doesn't mean its going to be a bad year, that a bad week doesn't mean its going to be a bad month and a bad day doesn't mean its going to be a bad week. So as far as your healthy eating goes-your getting back on track at lunch time and kudos to you!!!

I have to tell you, I'm hoping most people on here cannot trace by IP address. LOL. I think the anonymity, whether it's real or illusion, helps me be much more open than in my real life.

I chose my name because even in my darkest depression, when I have having to break the day down into segments to live through each day, the thing I held onto is the fact that my kids are so cool. Even when we have issues and they have their bratty kid moments, I know that they are amazing people. It gave me something to hold onto.

Hi Dana. Hi Eileen. I'm Heather. Nice to meet ya!

Hey granite. I was rocking the first summer burn, but it's faded nicely. I think H and I are going to visit the beach tomorrow for the first time this year. I'm going to work on being mindful and enjoying it!

I may be working on crying in therapy, but we are going to enjoy this weekend!!!

i was thinking of going to the beach tomorrow also i find it easy to be somewhat mindfull there.i just listen to the waves and it really does drowned out all the messyness in my head.i love it .i go a lot for that very reason.even if you just stop for just a bit close your eyes and listen. listen to the ocean waves ,the seaguls and even the other people having a good time ,it is so worth it. have a good time and just let it be

me! me! from the knees down, and the shoulders out and I have to say, I now declare myself an OFFICIAL member of PC - I finally understand what "trigger" really means. Please don't anybody feel bad, but since last week's pool incident, whenever anybody uses the word "drown" in a non-literal sense, I kinda jump and i'm like, oh, you don't know what you're talking about, and i'm alligator-rassling that little guy in my beautiful pool all over again. That said, my apartment AND the pool is located right on a river, and I DO hope I'm not called in to perform numerous canoe and kayak and those bicycle-boat thingie? rescues this weekend, now that word of my fantabulous kickboard rescue work is getting around. Is there a delusional smilie? seriously, i'm hoping for a drama-free weekend - maybe THAT'S what's really delusional!

oh, and my name, using a username here vs my real name .... well, I like having a user name that feels like it represents 'me' better than my everyday name, which is sort of uncommon but I do like it. I didn't in school when all the substitute teachers couldn't say and butchered it in extremely weird ways. It's not even that hard of a name, only 5 letters and 2 syllables ..... sheesh! Anyway, I'm more comfortable giving away my real, given name in PMs but using my symbolic name out here.

That reminds me of my H talking about his day sometimes:

"I looked at the clock and it was 10:30. Three hours later, I looked at the clock and it was 10:32."

no please don't apologize! you're my pal - I didn't want to make a stranger feel bad by mentioning it - you know what I mean! - but really what a great amazing thing it turned out to be. plus - well, not that it's all downhill from here, but what a way to START the season. FINALLY I got something exciting to write for that back to school essay, how I spent my summer vacation. And the thing about the triggers - what an emotional fail, a lack that was in me before. But now I have you people around me, and T, to process, to feel stuff with.
