T said I could call and talk to her a few minutes today as she will be free between 12 and 1 but I feel like that will make me just miss her more. Don't know. Maybe it will help to talk to her even if for 5 minutes. I'm in a really bad way. Locked myself in my bedroom for most of the day yesterday.
That sucks.

What does arbitration mean?

I used to like to drive fast. Until 3 months ago when I got a ticket for going 65 in a 50.

Used H's pre-paid legal benefit and a lawyer went to court for me today. She couldn't get the ticket reduced to a non-moving violation due to a technicality in law that the DA she dealt with held staunchly.

So she asked for a continuance. Hopefully the next DA she deals with is a bit more lenient.

It means a higher authority can force the company to keep him on.
It also means more delays, uncertainties and meetings.

This. Yes. Its the very last step before its either fire completely or hire back, but we hope it gets resolved on Tuesday. Nicely explained, Can't Explain. I just read about your costume session. Very interesting.

Chopin-I read your thread on your session-I love when you post about your sessions. Gives a great deal of insight and I admire the therapeutic relationship you have. Good luck with your ticket issue. I used to like to drive fast as well. Learned my lesson the hard way-caused 3 accidents in under a year and many tickets. I was very un-careful and reckless. Got the pants sued off me. I'm surprised I am still insured. I was young and dumb-that was over 10 years ago.

I must go pour a drink now.

I liked her.

Hurray - they've taken the rain out of the forecast here tomorrow. That means I can go to the beach tomorrow and just enjoy the sun and waves.

I'm glad it will be taken care of on Tuesday, TTGB. Sucks being in limbo. I hope the verdict is hire back.

That therapeutic relationship was hard-won, but worth it now.

Let's see, I've been driving since I was 17; I've been pulled over at age 17, 19, 23, 27, 31, 33, and 34. 17 [58 in a 35] - went to driving school; 19 [didn't come to full stop while turning right on red] - got a "prayer for judgement"; 23 [35 in a 25 in school zone] - H talked to deputy and deputy waived ticket (professional courtesy - 911); 27 - [45 in a 35] H talked to officer and officer waived ticket professional courtesy again); 31 - [50 in a 35] H talked to officer, but officer didn't appear in court...told ADA that the issuing officer told me that he was going to waive the ticket...he looked at me in amazement and said, "okay, you're free to go"; 33 - warning ticket-speeding; 34 - [65 in 50].

Luckily, I've never caused an accident.

Not sure what you mean. In lawyer fees? None...it's a benefit for county employees (H). Court costs? $271. Fine? Would be $30 if convicted. Insurance? Would probably triple if convicted (from $1000 a year to $3000). Also, they could revoke my license for going 15 mph over the limit.

Most likely, I won't be convicted; either the lawyer will get a more lenient ADA to deal with and I'm reduced to "improper equipment", they'll get me a "prayer for judgement" (if I get another ticket within 3 years, I'll be convicted for both tickets), or I can go to driving school (about $200).

NO MATTER WHAT...I HAVE FINALLY MATURED AND SLOWED THE HELL DOWN!!!!

I love the sound of rain. On a warm night it's nice to open the window- just a tad so it doesn't rain in. I'm able to close my eyes and just listen to it fall-as long as there is no thunder. I love the smell.

Well-good night people. I'm turning in early and I'm sure I'll miss the good conversations that happen here later-but that's okay. I'm drained and ready for sleep.

Hope you sleep well, TTGB. You've been through a lot lately and deserve a good night's rest.

Well, off to make my (now) nightly cup of tea. So now the hard part: green, black, rooibos, strawberry herbal, apple chamomile, rose hips and hibiscus, or a blend?

Decisions, decisions...
