This seems to have made an amazing difference in your life. I'm happy for you! Also impressed that your T came up with the idea and followed it through. It's definitely unconventional, but sounds completely ethical to me. Sometimes no progress gets made unless somebody dares to do something different. Thank you so much for coming back and sharing here. I for one was really curious how it would work out and if it would make a difference. Seems like it did, so congrats to both you and your T for a job well done.

Thats wonderful. I have been wondering how it went for you, so i am glad you updated your thread.
This sounds completely like something out T would do with us. Some of our most healing times have been when we have spent the whole day with T and have just spent a regular day together (& did therapy, but also just regular stuff as well) and gone to lunch/ dinner/ get ice cream and to the park and the library and all that, shes read us stories, blew bubbles with the inside kids, etc. those days did so much more for us than just sitting in an office.
I am really, truly glad that this went well for you.

I'd give like $10,000 to have this experience, but with ex-T before all the termination junk happened.

You don't need to explain anything. It sounds wonderful!

I wish people weren't so quick to judge our therapeutic relationships.

I'm so glad you had such a great experience!! It sounds very healing. I was intrigued when you first posted about it and hoped you'd come back to let everyone know how it went!

I read recently about a woman whose T allowed her to stay overnight one night with her, her H, and kids. She had her own room. This T was willing to hold the woman much like yours and feel the love and affection she missed as a child. The woman also found that it was healing simply being around and interacting with T's family.

She said it was the most healing experience in her therapy. I am so glad your situation was similarly healing!

To be accepted, to be treated as normal. Wouldn't that be wonderful!

It's a big investment for the T, though!

Many thanks every one. I'm blown away by your support. My T is still on holiday and I'm happily managing to eat and get to bed and control the people inside me.

Sounds like a really healing experience for you, and I'm glad you found it so helpful. Well done with the shopping/cooking/eating/sleeping and coping while your T is away, too.
