I'm just doing this for this one session. I don't know that I will ever record a session again. Regarding posting it, this transcription is too much work, but this was an odd session to me and I do feel I need to process it this way, in the cold light of day, as it were.

It is not unethical for a client to post their session. It would be unethical for the therapist to do so. The different parties have different ethics.

I get that the client isn't ethically responsible to keep sessions confidential. But, I do kind of feel badly that this woman had no idea her words were going to be posted on the internet and scrutinized by people. If she had known what she was saying would be public, she would have probably worded things differently.

T's don't have to keep a running account of every word they say like accountants do with $$. Too bad though, because suffering through an audit or two would put them all on the straight and narrow.

This is the sort of stupidity that gives Jedi masters a bad name.

As I understand it: 1. Truth is absolute. 2. Faith means holding to the truth. His position is that we know the Bible is true because we have proved it. And having proved it, the only sane response is to keep on believing it. There is nothing mystical about his faith. It's cold, hard logic.

And most of the arguments in that book have been tidily countered--even by Lewis's own admission.

Chopin asked about the relationship between faith and truth and I was simply suggesting that they need not be in opposition. I'm not a great fan of Lewis myself.

Hi Chopin, new too this forum and havn't written much but this whole post is kind of amazing. I am assuming you are Christian because I would flip out if my T told me we are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God. What does that mean anyway? I thought Jesus said we are all Children of God. We are all Divine. Sinner in Greek means "missing the mark". So what? We all make mistakes. Anyway I don't know you well enough to really comment but I appreciate the guts of posting a private therapy session. It is fascinating to compare someone else's real time therapy experience. Thanks for that!
