chia pudding is made with hemp milk and chia seeds- with sweetener if you choose-you put the seeds in the milk and just let them expand for a few hours and voila!

Do you think it would work with regular milk or soy milk? Our grocery stores aren't that specialized here :-(

it might have a better chance with soy milk-we think it needs to be a little thicker but you could always try since they expand anyway♥
Thanks for this!

i've been looking for something to put in my yogurt. btw, jamie lee curtis is full of carp - ANY decent live culture yogurt will fix your "digestive system" in two weeks, won't it? i've been eating chobani like a maniac and I think my heartburn has stopped. I was dairy-free before this.
Thanks for this!

I looked up a picture and saw that it looks a bit like tapioca pudding, which I've had years ago. I'm going to have to try chia pudding! I've never actually tried chia seeds before. I see them in the organic section where I shop but they're always so expensive here.

I like to mix chia seeds with jelly to put with peanut butter and toast for breakfast. Or mixed in with yogurt and steal cut oats with a very ripe banana.
I found chia seeds are cheaper at costco or online.
Thanks for this!

I've become slightly obsessed with refrigerator oatmeal this summer and use the chia seeds there. Although I can't help it. Every time I make it I start singing the song...ch,ch,chia....

Granite - White Chocolate PB? That sounds really good.

is this confession time? after my swim this afternoon I ate my mini carrots and zero fat hummus with some kalamata olive paste from a jar - better to have olive fat (omega-3) than tahini fat (omega-6) - then I ate almost the whole jar of oh fudge! which is non-fat and fruit-concentrate sweetened, then I passed out then I pooped my guts out (when I woke up!). then I went to the drugstore, picked up my meds and bought some generic pedialyte popsicles. between occasional such bouts, and my blood pressure meds, I find them helpful. and after I had my food poisoning issues at my mother's a few years ago, I just like to keep them in the house, they can be a literal lifesaver. And told my pharmacist my water life-saver story, she was thrilled! she's my pal! she has tattoos!

Sorry Hankster. You're right it is an earworm. I am also fairly certain that the commercial hasn't changed since the mid-80s.

LOL I believe they have chia scooby! I keep waiting for them to say in the tv ad how healthy it is! I remember first reading about chia seeds being good for you in 1980.

Well, I'm happy for her. And for you. And I am very sorry indeed that I said anything in the first place. But since I did - please note that I have a decent salary and fairly decent brains, so am not dependent on H giving me money or anything like that. We both do the finances. Jointly. It's just a matter of needing an unnatural amount of space for myself.

I'm not offended and I'm not judging you.

In college, one of my roommates got a ChiaPet for Christmas. At first we all thought "Who actually gives a ChiaPet?" but the thing was kind of fun.

Ugh that chia song is an earworm...but here's the link anyways:

I slept well last night for once. Ever since I saw pdoc on Wed I feel so much calmer. I haven't even thought much about T, and I don't even have the urge to contact him. Weird. If pdoc gives me an hour each month I won't need t. But pdoc usually only gives me 10 min, and giving me an hour this week was probably a fluke. I felt so supported by him. *sigh* I wish he did therapy.

I am off the couch to go strawberry picking this morning. My mom said she would teach me how to make jam tomorrow. Then it's off to an Arts Festival in our downtown and a music festival a few towns away with some college friends. After today this introvert will have had her fill of "people" for a few days.

H just made some whole wheat banana nut pancakes. A little agave nectar, and I was in heaven.

Hello everyone. I'm getting myself out of the house today. First getting my car tire patched then going to Walmart or Ross to get some shorts. Saw temps for next week going up into the 90's. Errgghh. Shorts at Walmart are $8.00 for cotton ones.
