What kind of summer clothes does your T wear? Me and T had a super laid back session and we started talking about how next week is supposed to be 97 the day of our session. He said he was thinking about wearing shorts, but wonders how it will affect his clients (he doesn't want to offend anyone). He already is super laid back as far as his attire (jeans, tee shirts, hoodies) its just his style. I was just curious if anyone else's T wore shorts? I'm not sure how I would feel if he did. I told him that. I am SO used to him in jeans, just the thought of change is.. weird.

I would not notice if the one I saw wore shorts. I doubt if it would matter to me if I did notice.
Thanks for this!

My T wears a lot of skirts, jeans and pants. The skirts are always about knee lengthish(i think) and she will wear short sleeve attire. I think she dresses a bit more professionally hahah but i honestly dont notice that much. Plus its kind of cold in her office It it was high 80s-low 90s today and i was wearing a sweathshirt and sweat pants in her office. And my feet turned blue!

My T always dresses business casual. She also has her office in a building that is always cold! I actually appreciate that she dresses professionally. I think it would feel too casual for me if she dressed casually (even though I usually wear jeans).

It is always hot in my Ts office and tomorrow is supposed to be in the mid to upper 90's. When I complain because I am always hot she says the A/C in the building isn't good. I wish they're get a new one! She has a small electric fan she'll put on. My T is never hot; I think because she's so thin. I wish we could meet in the lake tomorrow! Oh, I forget the question. She'll probably wear something skimpy but I don't dress like that.

I think for sure it would throw me off to see my T in shorts. Even though we are in warmer weather T hasn't changed much of his clothes b/c he is in an office building with A/C.. No need. One day he did come in very casual for him and it really did throw me for a loop. I have no clue why, but it really did.

My T gets cold easily (he says), so he's always well covered up. Last summer it never really got hot, and I don't even remember him wearing a short-sleeved shirt. I think I would just freak out if he wore shorts! (Transference issues, dontcha know.)

Oh the thought! Be still, my beating heart!!

T always wears dress pants and a long-sleeve shirt. I started seeing her last summer and joked that she wasn't dressed for summer and she gave me a valid reason for the pant and long sleeves. She said she had tattoos she got when she was young that some people get offended by, so she covers them.

Makes sense. Tattoos wouldn't bug me if I saw them, but I guess some people it would and she has to "please" everyone. No one is going to be offended by her covering up (even in the summer).

Her color palette totally changes. In the winter it is all black, browns, and greys. In the summer it is bright, cheerful colors like bright blue, pink, purple. Always wears dress pants in black and greys, it is her tops that change.

I don't think my therapist dresses any differently for summer. He wears long pants and a button-down shirt or polo shirt every time I see him. His office is HOT in the summer, upper floor and no AC, but every week he drinks hot tea so I guess the heat doesn't bother him.

I've noticed the last few sessions now that it's warmer T only wears dresses (mid-knee). T does put a blanket over her legs every session but this may be because we sit on the floor.

T wears the same thing pretty much year round I guess. I mean, we have central heat and air around here, so the temperature inside buildings stays pretty consistent except that during the summer it feels extremely cold inside due to the 110 degree temperature outside. I can't imagine my T wearing shorts to work though. He always dresses professionally at work.

T wears pretty much the same things he did all winter, except without the sweaters. Dress pants and button down shirts with a tie.

I'm way more casual than he is, for sure.

He wears slacks (lighter weight than winter) and dress shirts, but will sometimes wear short sleeve polos or dress shirts. I would be really distracted if he wore shorts. I lust for him the way it is. I'd be all busy stroking his thighs in my head.

My T wears the same clothes in the summer as she does the rest of the year. Her clothes are so cute...I've never seen her wear the same thing twice.

Can you tell I love her? Oh god, that's going to be a problem isn't it?

Typically a dress or dressy crop pants. The office is chilly and she's 68 so I would be shocked if I saw her in shorts, lol. My first T wore capris or the bermuda shorts and sleeveless dressy tops. I don't care what T wears, I am more concerned about what I wear to session so I don't look like a frumpy slob.

This is me, too.

Currently wondering what I can wear tomorrow

My T usually wears smart trousers with a climate-appropriate blouse or top of some kind. Always looks nice.

I usually do not know what I am wearing unless I look down to check. When teaching I try not to wear the same thing several days in a row (like I do at home), but that is about it. I could not, on any given day, remember what my partner has on. The therapist's clothing just does not register with me.
