Chopin is on cool whip. (that is my new phrase - what are you? On cool whip or something?)
Next we will be arguing about barbeque (pork, dry rub, etc= the right way).

(Chopin, LC -I am just teasing with you all)
Thanks for this!

Oh s**t...Chopin's on the whip. Somebody get me an intervention!

I was about to be in my happy place...went to the craft store when my training was finished. Bought some more paint, brushes, and beads. Yay! Came home; I got no Internet, phone, or cable. I paid the damn bill!!

I guess if this doesn't get fixed tonight I'll be painting and H reading. It is dead silent in my house.

Impending discussion about 'the therapeutic relationship'. Dun dun dunnnn.

It actually went REALLY well. He brought it up before I had to. "How are you doing with your fear of losing me?"

Gulp.

We talked about it. I was really honest in my fear of losing him. He helped me understand he isn't going anywhere, is committed to working with me, even likes me as a person. He said that the best work is done within the relationship between the therapist and the client.. and that he is expecting rupture and repair and that those instances will be very good for our relationship. That I'm safe to be myself with him, in whatever that entails.

He even said that he will work pro-Bono for me down the road if he has too. Once he has commited to me if money comes an issue that won't stop our work.

It helped a lot. A huge amount. I was struggling with my hatred towards myself for feeling like I 'needed him'. I know it's okay now.

And now he is on vacation for a month. I'll be okay though.

Chopin I am so sorry... What's going on? Did you pay that bill too? Maybe it's rolling blackouts?

H said there was a bad wreck about a mile from our house. Power didn't go out until a little before 8. Website said power should be back on by 10:45. So much for painting. Guess I'll read a book or go to bed. H is already asleep in the recliner. And this phone is about to die, so goodnight y'all.

lol...I only own 2, but I get them in and out because I foster them. I have had up to 6 at once, but that was too much for even me. Right now I only have my 2, (plus tricia). That will change in the fall. I stopped fostering to take care of myself for a little while.

Zoe (older puppy/almost full grown dog) is running around and around barking and chasing. I thought she was playing with Fudge, but Fudge is sitting next to me. So then I thought she was playing with a cat and went to be sure the cat WANTED to play, only to discover there's no cat. Zoe is playing and chasing with an imaginary friend. I don't know if that's incredibly sad or incredibly funny.
Thanks for this!

oh, mkac, betcha there is something going on. Someone is outside, or a tornado is coming, or you left the garage (barn?) door open. Did you ask Zoe to show you what it is?

I've lived in Texas my entire life and have never heard this term used, so it's not a Texan thing, at least not in southern, eastern, or northern Texas. (It is a big state, so I suppose those out west could use it, but it doesn't seem like it would be a characteristic term for that area.) Must be from somewhere else.

I asked her what she was doing and she grabbed her tuggie and threw it at my head. She is just desperate to play and NOBODY WILL PLAY. This is the same dog that I mentioned before would take a tennis ball to the top of the ramp going up onto the deck, drop the ball, watch it roll down the ramp and then chase it when it went out into the yard. She will also take the ball and throw it up into the air and then try to catch it. She threw it against the door and would chase it when bounced off, but that annoyed my son and he really hollered at her and hurt her feelings so she stopped. I gave her a bone and she is chewing away now.
