Morning all!

Some ferocious animal has taken up residency in my stomach today. I will finally be giving my T the gift I bought. She knows about it cuz I asked her if she accepted them but chickened out when it came time to hand it over. The explanation part will be so hard. Will be one of my most vulnerable moments in T. I feel like I am going to hurl. Going to walk in with gift in hand so I cannot wimp out.

my husband just handed me the catalog for the local college and told me to pick out what i want to do

Hi Lone! Nice to see another new face on the couch.

Granite - I go thought phases where I want sugar in beverages and then I want them just plain for awhile. No real explanation for it. Someone left Jelly Bellys on the community food counter at work and I took 5 yesterday. They are one of my weak spots. I hope they are gone when I get there today.

I am taking up on the anti-Cool Whip side of this on-going debate. Give me the real whipped cream

Menu today
Breakfast: refrigerator oatmeal and coffee with soymilk
Lunch: Left over orzo with summer squash and pesto, cherries
Dinner: No idea yet. I was going to make a homemade pizza, but I forgot to make the dough last night...

I am so happy. I thought I lost my favorite white noise app when I switch computers but today it appeared! I am one happy camper.

I would love for someone to tell me to do that...but I was always a nerd and loved school. Now I take online classes instead.

Edit: Sorry if that came off the wrong way....I always start to miss school this time of year and I graduated over 15 years ago... I hope this didn't come off as rude.

I thought butts go on the couch, not faces. Whatever you say, i'm trying to learn how to get along better with people, face on the couch it is (plants face on couch) (sorry, I have a WEIRD sense of humor first thing in the morning! this just struck me funny!)

A whip it is when you suck the nitrous oxide gas out of a can of whipped cream. Gives you a head rush.

Granite, can you do online courses or do you have to physically be at the college?

I was laughing to hard at the butts on the couch... I have that kind of humor too...gets me in trouble when I make comments about ash trays when I am in antique shops with my mother...

so I lived by the reddi whip factory and they had a giganto can (like 20-30 feet high?) in front, it was on a main drag. like that was a thing to do, drive out to the west side and go by the reddi whip can. those were simpler times.

hmmm granite...if it was a totally easy thing, and you could do anything you wanted, what would you do? Can't remember what your current degree is in.

i have a degree in clinical lab sience but havnt worked in that field for years i hated it exsept when i worked in an animal hospital that was ok not many people

I often think that I would like to go back to school for veterinary medicine. Maybe not a doctor, but an assistant of some sort. I don't know how much of my mathematics degree would translate though.

What if you took some art classes, or graphic arts?

Wikid, my first degree is in veterinary science technology. I was licensed as a vet tech, but never actually worked in a clinic. I worked in research, before I moved into computing. When I left corporate life, I started volunteering in wildlife rehab to get back to working with critters. Love it.

I need some good distractions today. Yesterday's T session was pretty rough and I want to keep my mind occupied so I don't think about it.

I second the art idea, granite. You're so good at drawing!

My news is that we had NO internet service yesteday until today! We also had power failures off and on all day. And no phone service. But I survived!!!
