Lola - I hadn't been planning out my menus and that lead to many meals of grilled cheese or pizza which lead to some of my pants no longer fitting...so...I am trying to plan healthy food in advance and see if that helps.

TTGB

Wiki - yes get the iPhone

I am logged in at work which I rarely do, but my patience is done for the day...is it lunch time yet?

Oh and I Febreezed the couch in case anyone is putting their face on it

Lola...I've quashed the ADD. I made a list. That kicks my OCD back into gear. My mind goes into "need to finish it" mode.

I got that from one of my autistic clients. If he is in the middle of something and you try to get him to do something else, he states, "Need to finish it."

I hate that you relate to this song, but it's pretty cool.

Sconnie-when I did weight watchers they always used to say to plan your meals-otherwise you are just picking stuff on a whim-so I think you are on the right track with the planning ahead. Now if I could just stop stuffing my face with chocolate and ice cream I'll be able to get back on track.

After staying up late and getting up really early to get my brief done, my unemployed client is too busy to come and sign it so I can get it to the printers and get it on file. hahahahaha. Sigh.

Thanks for the offer of help, stopdog. Just the company and the encouragement from you and silent were very nice.

I'm at the hospital now with my mother in law. She's having a procedure that is not a big deal, but she needed to be sedated and she's nervous. I'm glad I was able to get the brief done so I can be here with her.

I just decided that next Friday is "me" day. I was going to paint part of my house, but instead I think I am going to plan on going to the beach for most of the day. Take along a book and the assignements from my writing class, pack some sandwiches and just be unreachable for the whole day.

Also I think our offices might explode. They just told us our networked printer is down "indefinitely" and we have confirmation mailings to send out...

After stripping my bed I was able to fall stereo around 4am. But then I slept late and now I don't want to do onto the danger-pin room.

I'll just sit here drinking tea for a while

Currently thinking of a way to make my workers leave so I can leave early. You know whats better then having a house on the lake?
Having a friend who has a house on the lake! I'm putting my A S S in the water and free dinner to boot. I Love FREE food...it just taste better if i don't have to cook it or clean up after it!

TTGB - I am sorry to hear about the hearing. I hope things pick up soon. Is your husband any more motivated to look for something new?

That is great WP.

LC - I like cooking with someone else to clean up.

SCon-a day to one's self with no chores is nice.

Granite - that is some crazy tea there.

Everyone else I hope is having a good day and looking forward to a fun weekend.

That does sound tasty. I have some friends from India and I love to go to their house for dinner.

My foreign friends have really changed my eating habits, but something I will NEVER introduce as regulars to the diet. LOL ie. Menudo and Cuyes

I have to go to a friends for dinner this weekend. I love them, but they aren't vegan, and they are the type of people that assume that I won't notice if a little butter or chicken stock is used. grrr.

I have run into tripe (by mistake) in both spanish (visit to spain) and vietnamese cooking (everyone else in the restaurant was eating the dish with great gusto - bad decision to tell the waiter-who spoke very little english- I would try some- it was done by pointing and nodding by me). Not a fan of it myself.

I had a hard time with eating with others when I was a fairly strict macrobiotic vegetarian. Now I am a mostly vegetarian omnivore.

UGH. That drives me nuts. Like stopdog, I'm a mostly vegetarian (like 99%) omnivore, but I just tell people I'm a vegetarian because it spirals out of control really quickly. "Oh you eat fish sometimes? That's good. We made you roast chicken, I hope that's ok. Do you want some bacon? What do you mean you hate bacon? It's just a little."

In a recent new yorker magazine, there's a cartoon of a cat and a dog sitting at a kitchen table playing Scrabble, and the caption is (i assume the cat is saying), "'Grrrr' is not a word." I showed it to T, I told him it was one of the couch's favorite words!

Oh and have you seen Mindy Kaling's (the Office) trailer for her new TV show? She's telling a date at dinner, "I'm a vegetarian - I eat chicken, fish, hamburger, but not steak - never steak..." she is so hilarious.

I did see that, very funny.

I am quite strict about being vegan, and I have rules about it, but it isn't because I am picky. I tell people up front that I can bring my own food. I would actually rather to tell you the truth, it's less anxiety provoking (for everyone).
