Upon viewing an olde movie, there was a brief part about therapy and the over coming of our deepest fears.
An intriguing question was raised: "When we over come our deepest fears, what do we then become". This really got my head ticking, first it made me consider what my deepest fear might be. My mind decided that the thing which scares me the 'most' must surely be my deepest fear. My deepest fear is not actually one to be over come, why, well, my deepest fear is that the earth's oxygen supply will suddenly become depleted. Of course I then wondered what kind of person I would become once I'd over come this fear. This only increases my confusion regarding the over coming of my fear, but what if I could over come this fear!?! It is suggested that our fear is the thing which stops us from becoming that which is our 'maximum potential'. This led me to consider the percentage of our genome which has not been mapped, that part which stimulates intense debate amongst theologians and philosophers alike. Some people believe it is this which represents our very soul, some believe it is latent psychic abilities, or in more readily realised terms, abilities we have long since forgotten. What indeed might we become if we all managed to over come our deepest fears, would we become god-like, would we become monstrously brutal, would we become a more spiritual species? Anyone have any thoughts on this? |

Interesting view, I wonder, would it not be so that once the mastery of our greatest fear has been achieved, would not all lesser fears prove yet easier still to over come?

That's how I would want to think of it.... things becoming easier. So why aren't we there already? Haven't we conquered unbelieveable problems? (Am I in my questions thread again?? lol)

Fox, you didn't do anything wrong. See the "lol" at the end of Sky's comment? I think she was just noting the similarity. Maybe you two think alike in some ways.
![]() Your questions are very interesting. Rap
