((((Chopin)))) i am so glad your T responded. Please try to not beat yourself up. You were so brave to write. I can totally relate to "I love you but I don't like you" and mother shutting down; thus leaving us confused, hurt, reeling.

It is really hard to put ourselves out there...waiting feels like an eternity, too. I shut down as well to protect myself.

I hope you will be able to give yourself kindness and love and will be gentle with yourself. You were so brave...and your T responded!

Two steps forward, dear...it is a very hard road and you are making progress.

Hugs to you,
R

I don't have any words of wisdom for you, but I think you are very brave and very insightful. Take some time to care and love yourself this weekend.
