Hmmmmmmmm............. I use to live in Australia- Broken Hill to be exact. Just a little outback town. And I've visited New Zeland. We absolutely loved that country! Soooo beautiful!

uhn-uhhhh.. They're not rednecks! They have all their teeth! (according to the commercial for the show!!)

So, now you've got me wondering about the dynamics of the show and why they are rednecks???

Hi all. I fell asleep eventuelly, and dreamt that T was angry with me. Then I woke up, whimpered a little, rolled over and went back to sleep. And dreamt about my dad, who passed away a year and a half ago. I really miss him.

Wait, I thought that was a myth? I think I've read that brown sugar and white sugar come from different parts of the sugar beet. And the white sugar is centrifugated to get rid of discolouring particles. I'm really no expert though.

[ETA: Stupid Apteryx, of course you probably have cane sugar rather than beet sugar. ]
Thanks for this!

I know I shouldn't take you too literally but I really don't think an alcoholic would care about which wine fits best with which food. Wine can taste really differently depending on what you eat with it, and all combinations don't work, just like you don't necessarily think it's a good idea to combine any random kinds of food on the same plate.

But I agree that regular people would just pick the one wine that is a decent fit for the food and go with that.

I have plenty of Australian friends. I just txted one of them to wish him a happy Father's Day. Thanks for the heads-up

To me, it's a mixed solid. Use alcohol of choice instead of the cold water that goes in jello and allow to congeal. Easiest way for me to get anywhere close to wasted.
My H has told me about a party he was at some time before we met, which was held in a place rented from the local Good Templars, so they were not allowed to serve any alcoholic drinks... People still talk about the Vodka Porridge in hushed tones. And there were plenty of jello shots.
Thanks for this!

I find it so much easier to relax and be myself and informal at a dinner party than at a "regular party". I never know what to do with myself if I'm not told where to sit and if there's no structure to the evening. I don't think this makes me snooty. I'm just socially inept.

Good morning.. did not sleep well, woke up and found something to panic about, hoping I can keep an attack at bay. Getting my family ready for church..

See you all later.
