I've had far fewer "hour fly by sessions" then I have where I am watching the clock...trying to figure out what to say next and best utilize my time. 2 hours replays for a week is not looking like a good idea for me.

I agree, sometimes two times a week is too much. You need down time to process what you've talked about, too.

I did the 2 hr session for two weeks...it's actually only 90 min usually. What my t did was bill insurance two separate days. I flipped out when I read the ins. statements and realized he had lied on the forms. Still makes me nauseous to thing about.

well he isn't exactly agreeing with me, but respecting my decision... sometimes you just have to step back and look at the picture from a different angle...distance yourself from it, get a different perspective ...thank you all for the input.

I think if I had a 2 hour session with any therapist, THEY would need a 2 hour session with THEIR therapist afterwards to get over the trauma, lol.

I can relate. At one point, I switched to twice a week alternating with once a week. It helped at first, but then it started making things worse. My T suggested cutting back down because the extra sessions were "activating" for me. When I look back, I actually do better with less frequent sessions.

Then I panic a bit the first part of next week thinking about what hard topic I think I may be able to handle. Good luck whatever you decide!

I think our therapists don't always give us enough credit, either.

My T doesn't like this idea. You have to quench the metal between hammerings.
Perhaps this is what Lola is trying to say?

FANTASY DIALOG:

How dare you respect my decision! Don't you care about me at all?!
